A parting.

He sighs

She Smiles

He forces a grin

She wipes a tear from his face

“Its not you, its me.”

She claims

“But why?”

He demands

Her head dips down

His fingers lift her chin

“So that’s it?”

“I think so.”

A tear runs down her pale skin

As she snuffles gently,

And falls into his arms

What will it feel like without his grasp?

I guess like it does now.

Emotionless.

Blank.

Why can’t I feel as I did before?

See his face,

Kiss his lips and touch his soul

As I did before.

If only we could rewind back.

Back 4 months passed,

Where our love

Flowed strong,

Our souls

Danced together,

And our lives

Sang in perfect harmony.

An Impulse

At first, They were like your sibling.

You respected Them.

You were young, They were old.

You would play fight

And laugh around.

The laughter you shared

So shy and innocent.

As years rolled by,

The circle of your laughter evolved.

Taking with it your youth.

Their eyes caught yours,

And in that split second

Pulled you deep

Into Their soul.

Their presence alone

Made your heart dance a beat.

The touch of Their hand

Sent a tingle of anticipation through your body.

You knew the consequences of this impulse.

Knowing your wrongful desires

Would tear your lives apart.

You would loose respect, understanding

And trust of others.

So You faded away.

Yet

Mysteriously connected.

You did stay.

Individuality

Dotted here and there

small glimpses of perfection

mark the sky

with a delayed spirit

of light

Sparkling against this dark world’s sky

their beauty, breath-taking

as they orbit on a unique path

keeping to their own time

surrounded by their unique universe

Unlike most things here

We cannot control them

they are free

as they dance to a lonely melody

silently together

in harmony
